Newark’s Fusion Fitness To Close After 13 Years

The owner of Fusion Fitness, Nic DeCaire, has announced that he is shuttering the center’s doors at the end of the month.

“After an amazing 13 years operating Fusion Fitness, my family and I have decided to close the doors at the end of the month. The last day will be Friday, November 30.

Fusion Fitness was a dream of mine since I was a teenager. I wanted to own a place where people felt safe, where they belonged and where they could improve their lives. That is what fitness did for me at a young age.

I believe we achieved this over the past 13 years.

To help you continue your fitness journey, we have worked out a special deal for you with Anytime Fitness Newark – South Main. You are not obligated to join there – we just wanted to make sure our members had an option to consider.

The owners of this Anytime Fitness have three locations. With your membership not only can you use their three locations but the 3,000 other locations set around the state and country. So no matter where you are traveling, you will always have access to a fitness center at no additional cost.

They operate as a 24-hour fitness center offering general fitness memberships, group training and personal training. Yoga, kickboxing and Zumba also are included in the fitness membership at no additional cost.

Anytime Fitness has agreed to charge Fusion members $39 per month (when you sign up for 12 months) and waive the activation fee for those who sign up before January 1, 2019.

We are calling it a “key fob swap” Just trade in your Fusion key tag at sign up for the special pricing. Employees of Anytime Fitness will be at Fusion over the next two weeks to answer questions you may have about the facility or membership plans.

Thank you for the time you spent at Fusion with us. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did over the years.

We will officially close Fusion Fitness on Friday, November 30 at 8 p.m.

I look forward to seeing you in the community.

Nic DeCaire”
