State Police Wants You To Check To See If You’re A Wanted Person

The Delaware State Police is encouraging citizens to check the Delaware Criminal Justice Information System Online Wanted Person Review to see if there is an active warrant or capias out for their arrest.

Troopers said that they understand that you may not be aware of your wanted status. Checking this website is an opportunity for you to become aware that there is possibly an active capias or warrant out for your arrest. A warrant for your arrest means a law enforcement officer has the right to take you into custody wherever you are.

Becoming aware of your status now provides you with the opportunity to turn yourself in voluntarily and resolve the issue as opposed to being inconvenienced in the future. The warrants available in this database consist of warrants issued by the courts of Delaware. Recent changes in the status of the warrants may not be reflected in this online database, according to Troopers.

Troopers caution the public not to attempt to make an arrest based on this warrant information. Only law enforcement officers can arrest a person for an outstanding warrant.

If you find that you are in fact wanted, Troopers encourage you to contact the agency that issued the warrant or capias and turn yourself in as soon as possible.
