Multiple Ambulance Crews Respond To Shooting In New Castle

New Castle – Just before 9:15 last evening, Friday, April 12, 2019, ambulance crews from the Hollaway Terrace, Goodwill, Wilmington Manor, and Cranston Heights Fire Companies, along with multiple New Castle County Paramedics were dispatched to a shooting in New Castle.

Delaware State Police, dispatched to the Star Center, located at 3125 New Castle Avenue, reported that two victims had been transported via a personal vehicle to the Wilmington HospitalĀ prior to Trooper’sĀ arrival.

Troopers made contact with the victims, a 28-year old male of Middletown and a 26-year-old male of Wilmington at the hospital. It was reported that both victims were standing in front of the Keno Tobacco Shop when they heard gunshots and soon thereafter realized they were shot.

Both victims were transported to the hospital by an acquaintance. One of the victims sustained a grazed gunshot wound and was released. The second victim sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
