Thunderstorms, Possible Tornado Cause Power Outages, School Delays In Delaware

Thunderstorms that swept through lower Delaware overnight have caused significant damage schools delays, power outages and some roads are impassable.

Laurel School District 

Due to the severe damage that this morning’s tornadic activity has caused to many of our community’s homes and roadways, The Laurel School District will be closed for today, Monday, April 15.

Seaford School District 

The Seaford School District will open schools two-hours late this morning. Breakfast will not be served today, so please provide your child with a healthy breakfast at home. There will be no half day am pre-k today but full-day pre-k is to report two-hours late. Please travel safely. Thank you.
