Just In: Crash Shuts Down Westbound Lanes Of Maryland Ave For Almost An Hour

Wilmington – At around 2:20 this afternoon, Tuesday, May 14, 2019, rescue crews from the Five Points Fire Company responded to S Maryland Avenue at Reamer Avenue for a vehicle accident with injuries.

Upon their arrival, crews requested Zone Two Fire Police to shut down the road and New Castle County Paramedics due to the serious nature of the crash.

At least one patient was transported to Christiana Hospital with undetermined injuries.

The westbound lanes of S Maryland Avenue were closed at W Summit Avenue for approximately 50 minutes.

Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.
