Brennan pled guilty in March to first-degree unlawful sexual contact and was sentenced to a year in prison, a year of house arrest, and five years probation. He’ll also have to register as a Tier III sex offender and receive sex offender, mental health, and substance abuse treatments.

In June of 2018, the Delaware State Police arrested 32-year-old, Brandon T. Brennan of Millsboro and charged him in connection with the inappropriate touching of a female juvenile.

On Sunday, June 24, 2018, at approximately 8:49 a.m., Troopers were dispatched to Sea Wayne Lane, for a report of a sexual assault. Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with the 9-year-old victim’s mother who reported that her daughter had been sexually assaulted by her husband’s friend.

Troopers learned that Brennan was out with a friend and was too intoxicated to drive home. The friend allowed Brennan to stay at his home and at approximately 5:00 a.m. he entered the bedroom in which the child was sleeping proceeded to touch the child in an inappropriate manner.

Brennan was located at the residence sleeping in his vehicle parked in the driveway.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 7 where he was charged with 3 counts of Unlawful Sexual Contact with a Person Who is under 13 Years of Age (Felony).  He was released on unsecured bond.

In March of 2019, Brennan pled guilty to Unlawful Sexual Contact First Degree. He was recently sentenced to one year in prison, with a year of house arrest, and five years probation after he leaves the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown. Although he will have to register as a Tier III sex offender he is not currently registered on the list. He is due to be released in April of 2020.
