Teen Trapped After Crash Near Delaware City Flown To Hospital

Last evening, May 2, 2019, at approximately 7:16, Delaware City Fire Company was alerted to reports of a motor vehicle collision in the area of Clarks Corner Road & Wrangle Hill Road.

On arrival, emergency crews found a single vehicle collision with a 16-year-old female trapped in a vehicle, said Paramedic Senior Corporal Ruoy Koontz.

The patient had lacerations to the face and head with a suspected head injury and was in stable condition. She was transported to Christiana Care hospital via Delaware Stated Police aviation accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics.

The incident is still under investigation by Delaware State Police.
