Just In: Motorcycle Crash In Magnolia Sends One To Trauma By Air

Magnolia – Just before 9:45 last evening, Friday, June 21, 2019, rescue crews from the Magnolia Fire Company along with Kent County Medics,  Delaware State Police and Trooper 2 (Delaware State Police Aviation) responded to 935 Sophers Row for a crash involving a motorcycle.

While en route crews learned that a motorcycle had collided with a vehicle and the rider was unresponsive.

Trooper 2, inbound to the scene, advised Command that they were eleven minutes out. Command alerted Kent Center that Trooper 2 would be utilized for transport and dispatched crews to secure a landing zone (LZ) at J. Ralph McIlvaine Elementary School, located at 11 Walnut Street.

 

The male patient was transported to the LZ via  Magnolia Fire Company ambulance with Kent County Medics accompanying. He was transferred to Trooper 2 and flown to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital. The condition of the patient is unknown at this time.
