Happening Now: Man Trapped On 35 Ft Cliff In Maryland, NCC High Angle Rescue Team Responding

Kent County, Maryland – Just after 4:00 this afternoon rescue crews from the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company responded to the 14000 block of River View Lane in Kennedyville for reports of a subject trapped on the side of a 35 foot cliff.

Command has requested Maryland State Police Trooper 1 and the New Castle County High Angle Rescue Team to assist in the rescue.

Several rescue boats have been put in the water to assist in the rescue.

Update: The patient has been located at the bottom of the cliff and is being placed on a boat for transport to the helicopter.

Update: The New Castle County High Angle Rescue Team has been recalled.

Update: Trooper 1 is one minute out.

Command has reported that at a man fell down a 40 to 50-foot cliff and landed in the brush below.

The patient has been loaded on to Trooper 1 and is en route to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

Correction: An earlier headline state that a woman was had fallen. The patient is a man.
