Just In: Police Chase Ends With Crash, Neighborhood Lockdown In New Castle

New Castle – Authorities with the New Castle County Police, along with Delaware State Police, and members with another agency were involved in a vehicle pursuit that ended in the Duross Heights area of New Castle.

Reports from the scene indicate that when the small maroon vehicle came to a stop at Airport Road and Mowery Road at least two suspects fled on foot. One suspect was quickly captured nearby, however, police lost sight of the additional suspect(s).  They quickly surrounded the neighborhood and began searching.

Several minutes later additional reports indicated that the members of the unnamed agency were in a foot pursuit with a suspect. It is unclear if they were able to catch up to him.

Additional information will be released at the appropriate time.
