Video – High-Speed Police Pursuit Ends With Crash Into A Home In Hartly

Hartly – At 9:59 this morning, members of the Hartley Fire Company alerted Kent Center that a high-speed pursuit has ended in a crash next to the firehouse.

A witness at scene reported that a Maryland Officer was about quarter-mile behind the suspect when the driver failed to negotiate a slight bend in the road near the firehouse. The driver then went through a utility pole and crashed into a home.

The witness reported that the driver was found hiding ion the basement of the home. That has not been confirmed.

It’s not clear if anyone was in the home at the time of the accident.

Command ordered the road closed for an extended period of time.

Delaware State Police are currently on scene investigating.

Developing.
