Firefighters, Trooper 4 Searching For Tubers In Distress On Brandywine River

Rescue crews from several fire companies in northern New Castle County and Chester County Pa have responded to the Brandywine River at Smith Bridge Road for a water rescue.

Early reports from the scene indicate that crews have been searching for several teens that were tubing and were in distress.

Updated reports indicate that the teens and a 7-year-old have made their way to shore.

Crews are still actively searching the area.

Update: Crews have located the tubers. Rescue crews are accompanying the tubers downstream.

Trooper 4 is assisting in the search.
