New Castle – Rescue crews along with several HAZMAT crews from across New Castle County are responding to 1 E Basin Road, the PNC in the Penn Mart Shopping Center, for an odor investigation.
First arriving crews are reporting that three patients are being evaluated.
Update: Medics earlier reported that all three patients would likely refuse service. That has not been confirmed.
Update: Sounds like crews are about to make entry into the building,
Update: Command has mentioned at least five patients. Number five was a definite refusal.
Update: At 12:48 Crews entered the building to take readings.
Update: Crews are checking offices inside for the possible source of order.
Update: 1:12 PM Crews reporting negative readings in the building.
Update: 1:13 PM Command has placed the scene under control. DNREC is remaining on scene.
It’s believed that all patients have refused transport to the hospital.
