Happening Now: Firefighters Responding To House Fire In Newark

Newark – Just after 1:50 this afternoon firefighters from across New Castle County were dispatched to Danbury Drive for reports of a residential structure fire.

First arriving crews are reporting smoke showing from the home.

Update: A primary search of the home for victims been completed.  No one is in the home.

Update: Crews are reporting a fire in the clothes dryer has extended to the wall.

Update: Crews are now reporting that the fire has been knocked down. The dryer is being removed from the home.

Fire marshals are en route to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
