The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that their contractor, Cirillo Brothers will be milling and paving Howell School Road between Robert Peoples Boulevard and Red Lion Road.
The hours of the closure will be from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. weekdays, starting on October 21, 2019, through November 8, 2019, pending weather.
Residents within the closure limits will have access to their home but may be directed to use the detour routes.
All traffic traveling out of Caravel Woods and Mansion Farms will be required to turn right onto Howell School Road and travel down to the intersection of Route 896 and Denny Road.
Detour Routes:
Westbound: Red Lion Road to Route 72/Wrangle Hill Road to Porter Road onto Route 896 and return to Howell School Road.
Eastbound: Route 896 to Porter Road to Route 72/Wrangle Hill Road to Red Lion Road and back to Howell School Road.
At all times, the public will have access to Lums Pond State Park.
Detour signage will be posted for motorists.
