Authorities Update Thursday Morning House Fire That Caused $75K In Damages

The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating this morning’s fire in Bridgeville hat heavily damaged a residence, according to Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio.

Chionchio said the blaze, reported around 2:00 am, occurred in the 10000 block of Seashore Highway near Cannon Road. The Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Company responded and were assisted by other mutual aid fire companies in the area.

State fire investigators are currently investigating the fire’s origin and cause. There were no reported injuries. Heavy fire damage was estimated at $75,000.

This fire remains under investigation.
