Troopers: Gunman Gets Away With Beauty Supplies During Robbery

The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that took place at a New Castle Beauty Supply Store last evening, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred on January 29, 2020, at approximately 6:41 p.m., when Troopers responded to the D’Paradise Beauty Supply store located at 323 S. Dupont Highway, New Castle, in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, contact was made with the business owner who advised that a male suspect had walked out of the store with merchandise he had not paid for. The owner ran after the suspect and upon exiting the store, the suspect turned around and pointed a black handgun at him, said Jaffe. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a light-colored sweatshirt and jeans.
