During this COVID-19 outbreak, some in the community can’t stay inside. Our first responders are out there every day responding to accidents, medical calls, fires and other calls for service. In recent days many of the medical calls have required crews to dawn protective gear to avoid exposure to COVID-19.
In normal times, fire companies cover some of their operational costs by holding fundraisers, events, cook-offs, bingo games and that’s just for starters. Some of them also operate banquet halls that they rent out for meetings, ceremonies, receptions, and all sorts of other gatherings.
Most of the normal channels for raising money to cover expenses have been put on hold with social distancing in place.
Many of these fire companies have donation pages set up so you can support them directly. We have listed some of them below.
