Police: Wanted For Child Molestation, Georgia Man Living Near Suburban Plaza In Newark

Newark – On March 9, 2020, Newark Police were contacted by Georgia’s Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a wanted person, according to Lt. Andrew Rubin.

Rubin said Forsyth County Deputies were searching for Ryan Pilkington, 20, of Cumming, Georgia, who had an active warrant in Georgia for the crime of Aggravated Child Molestation

Pilkington was living at an apartment in the 800 block of District Drive in Newark. Officers went to the residence and contacted Pilkington, who was taken into custody without incident.

Pilkington was transported to Newark Police headquarters where he was charged as a fugitive from another state. He appeared before Justice of the Peace Court #2 by video and waived extradition to Georgia. He was ordered to be held without bail. Pilkington was turned over to the custody of the Howard R Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington.
