Wilmington Police are investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred at approximately 4:50 a.m. in the 200 block of North Madison Street.
Police located a 16-year-old female gunshot victim who was transported to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Officials said that the incident remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible.
