Happening Now: Crews Searching Delaware River For Missing Boater

Middletown – Crews from Port Penn and Delaware City Fire Companies along DNREC and Fish and Wildlife marine units are reportedly searching for a missing boater in the Delaware River.

At around 8:00 this evening crews from Port Penn were dispatched to the Delaware River in the area of Augustine Beach.

Both fire company’s run logs have withheld the nature of the call, however, radio reports indicate that crews, including Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4, are searching for a missing man that was last seen holding onto a cooler and a life jacket. No vessel has been located.
