Troopers Identify Man Shot And Killed In Dover’s Rodney Village Community

Dover- Delaware State Police are releasing the name of the victim who was involved in the shooting incident on October 2, 2020, as 21-year-old Shakur A. Burrage from Dover.

Dover- Delaware State Police are investigating a homicide that occurred on Friday evening in the Rodney Village Community, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Heather Pepper.

Pepper said Delaware State Police responded to the 200 block of David Hall Road at approximately 7:03 p.m. on October 2, 2020, for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, troopers located a 21-year-old male from Dover deceased in a vehicle. He was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body. The preliminary investigation revealed a physical altercation between the victim and an unknown suspect that occurred before the victim was shot in or near the vehicle, according to Pepper. After the conflict, the suspect fled the scene. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by Emergency Medical Services.
