Wilmington Police have identified the victim in today’s shooting that occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. in the 300 block of East 23rd Street.
Officials said that 28-year-old Michael Reams was located with gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
This incident remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible.

Shortly after this shooting, at around 2:00, neighbors in the Rosegate neighborhood off of Route 9 in New Castle reported a gunfight on Rose Lane. It’s not clear if the two shootings scenes are related.
