Residents Report Overnight Shooting In Dunlinden Acres, Two Possibly Hit

Police have yet to release details surrounding what local residents report as a shooting incident in the Dunlinden Acres neighborhood overnight.

First State Update was contacted Wednesday morning by area residents asking about the shots that they heard overnight.  The concerned residents reported hearing multiple shots fired in the area.

First State Update has learned that just before 11:30, Tuesday evening rescue crews from the Mill Creek Fire Company responded to a home in the unit block of St. John Drive in Wilmington from reports of a shooting. Shortly after the initial dispatch, additional resources were requested for a possible second patient at the home at 11:52.

Multiple sources tell FSU that at least one patient was transported to an area hospital. Sources also tell FSU that this incident is believed to be the result of a drive-by shooting.

Police have not confirmed the details surrounding the incident.

This is a developing story.
