Two Injured In Fiery Middletown Roundabout Rollover

Authorities have updated yesterday’s rollover crash in Middletown.

Officials said at approximately 6:12 p.m., crews from the New Castle County Paramedics, Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, and Odessa Fire Company were dispatched to Jamison Corner Road at the Route 301 Southbound on-ramp for a motor vehicle collision with rollover and vehicle reported on fire.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found that a single vehicle had rolled down a 60-foot embankment and was on fire. New Castle County Paramedics found two patients who had exited the vehicle. A 49-year-old male was treated for injuries to his lower extremities.

He was transported to Christiana Hospital via Volunteer Hose Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics, in stable condition. The second patient, a 64-year-old male, was treated for injuries to his upper extremities and transported to Christiana Hospital via Odessa Fire Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics, in stable condition.
