Dover Police Investigating Sunday Morning Shooting

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday morning, according to Public Information Office Sergeant Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said officers responded to the Unit Block of Stevenson Drive in the Manchester Square community at approximately 3:38 a.m. and contacted a 26-year-old male with a single gunshot wound to the shoulder.

The victim told officers that he was standing outside when an unknown black male approached him, shot him once and fled. The victim could not provide any additional information and there were no known witnesses at the scene. The victim was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
