Four Shot In Wilmington Tuesday, Police Issue Generic Press Release

Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the area of A and New Castle Streets.

Officials said police located four gunshot victims, a 57-year-old male who was transported to the hospital in critical condition, a 48-year-old female and a 55-year-old female who were both transported to the hospital in stable condition, and a 54-year-old female who arrived at the hospital in stable condition.

This incident remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible.

Above is the press release that was issued for the quadruple shooting that occurred this afternoon. The release is identical to those that are released for every shooting that occurs in the city.

There is no back story, no mention of the gang violence, no mention of any real details. The press releases are a person was shot, a person is in hospital.
