Dover Police Surround Home After Shots Fired Incident

The Dover Police Department arrested two suspects on firearms charges on Wednesday afternoon after receiving a report of shots being fired in the 800 Block of West North Street/Area of Simon Circle, according to Dover Police Department Public Information Office Sergeant Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said after responding to the area after receiving multiple calls reporting shots fired, officers reviewed surveillance footage and were able to identify a residence that the suspect(s) fled into. After obtaining a search warrant, officers called the occupants of the home outside and took them into custody without incident. A search of the home led to the recovery of two handguns inside the residence said Hoffman.

Kaharri Jackson (19-year-old male) was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (3x)
-Tampering with Physical Evidence

A 15-year-old male suspect was charged with the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited (juvenile)
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Tampering with Physical Evidence

Bond information and mugshots were not available at the time of release said Hoffman.
