Driver Overturns Vehicle Into A Creek In Hockessin

At approximately 2:53 Tuesday afternoon the New Castle County Paramedics, Cranston Heights Fire Company, Delaware State Police Aviation (Trooper 4), and the New Castle County Swift Water Rescue Team were dispatched to Hercules Road at Lancaster Pike for a motor vehicle collision with rollover.

New Castle County Paramedics arrived on scene to find a single vehicle down a steep embankment and into a creek. The 39-year old male driver had self-extricated from the wreckage and was wading in the water. The driver was removed from the creek and assisted up the embankment by members of the Cranston Heights Fire Company. The man was transported by ground to Christiana Hospital in stable condition with possible internal injuries.

Delaware State Police is investigating the incident.
