Police: SWAT Team Arrest Teen Escapee In Dover Mobile Home Park

The Dover Police Department arrested a 16-year-old male fugitive and charged him with additional drug and weapons offenses following an incident on Wednesday, January 12, according to Dover Police Department Public Information Office
Sergeant Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said officers responded to a home in Dover East Mobile Home Park. Officers confirmed that the male suspect, who was wanted for Escape charges from Camden Police and several capiases, was in a residence. When officers arrived, the suspect attempted to flee out of a window and dropped a fanny pack, according to Hoffman. When the suspect saw officers outside, he retreated back into the home. The fanny pack contained a handgun, 13 grams of crack cocaine, and 28.4 grams of marijuana added Hoffman.

Officers from the Dover Police Special Operations Response Team and Crisis Negotiation Teams responded to the residence. The suspect surrendered to police without incident after approximately one hour.

The suspect was arrested on the existing warrants but was also charged with the following offenses from the January 12th incident:
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited (3x)
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Crack Cocaine
-Possession of Crack Cocaine
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Resisting Arrest
-Drug Paraphernalia
-Illegal Gang Participation
