Woman Hospitalized After Vehicle Rolls Off The Highway Thursday Morning

At approximately 6:18 a.m. the New Castle County Paramedics (NCCEMS), the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit were dispatched to Route 301 northbound and Boyds Corner Road, in Middletown, for the report of a motor vehicle collision with a rollover.

NCCEMS Spokeswoman S/Sergeant Abigail E. Haas said upon arrival of the Paramedics, a single car was found to have left the roadway, rolling over down an embankment. The 47-year-old female driver of the sedan was out of the vehicle when Paramedics first made contact with her. She was treated for possible internal injuries and was transported to the Christiana Hospital, in Stanton, in stable condition.

The Delaware State Police is investigating the incident.
