Newark Charter Athletic Gear Donated By Miami Dolphins Reportedly Stolen

New Castle County Police are reportedly investigating the theft of some packages from a Newark home.

Newark Charter School athletic trainer Kristen Mercado is hoping that police can track down the woman she says took two boxes that were taken from her doorstep in Newark’s Scottsfield development.

Mercado says that a friend of hers that works for the Miami Dolphins donated around $600 in mouth guards for her athletes at the school.

On Wednesday Mercado took to Facebook to let folks know that the mouth guards had been taken off of her front porch after they were delivered.

Mercado said the investigation is in its early stages.
