Two Hospitalized After Rollover Crash With Entrapment

Just before 7:00 on Thursday evening, New Castle County Paramedics (NCCEMS), Mill Creek Fire Company, Aetna Hose, Hook, & Ladder Company of Newark, and Cranston Heights Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of
Kirkwood Highway at Delaware Park Drive for a motor vehicle collision with reported entrapment.

Responding units confirmed entrapment and began working to assist two patients. Officials said they found the two patients, a 46-year-old male and a 60-year-old male upopn arrival.
The 60-year-old male patient was trapped in the vehicle for a short time while crews worked to extricate him.

Both patients suffered minor injuries and were treated on-scene by New Castle County Paramedics. The 60-year-old male patient was transported to Christiana Hospital by ground via Aetna Hose, Hook, & Ladder Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics.

The 46-year-old male was transported to Christiana Hospital by Mill Creek Fire Company Ambulance. Both patients were in stable condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
