Man Seriously Injured After Rolling Vehicle Into Newark Parking Lot

At approximately 8:47 Wednesday night the New Castle County Paramedics (NCCEMS) responded to the University Plaza Shopping Center, in Newark, for the report of a motor vehicle collision with rollover, according to NCCEMS PIO S/Sergeant Abigail Haas.

Hass said upon the arrival of emergency responders, a single vehicle was found to have rolled down a retention wall into the parking lot of the shopping center, landing in an upright position.

The approximately 30-year-old male operator of the vehicle was treated on scene by the Paramedics for a possible head injury. He was transported to the Christiana Hospital, in Stanton, in serious, but stable condition.

The Delaware State Police is investigating the incident.
