Young Man Seriously Injured In Hockessin Accident

At approximately 10:54 pm, New Castle County Paramedics, Hockessin Fire Company, Cranston Heights Fire Company, and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to the area of Old Wilmington Road and Dewberry Drive for a motor vehicle collision with reported ejection. Responding units advised of a single-vehicle collision with no entrapment.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found one patient, a 21-year-old male in the care of Hockessin Company EMTs. The patient sustained injuries to his extremities and suspected internal injuries. The patient was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police Aviation Helicopter. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.

New Castle County Police is investigating the crash.
