Young Man In Serious Condition After Friday Morning Crash In Wilmington Manor

Delaware State Police is investigating a crash that sent a young man to the hospital this morning.

At approximately 6:09 Friday morning, New Castle County Paramedics (NCCEMD), Wilmington Manor Fire Company, and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to the area of North DuPont Hwy. and Franklin Ave. for a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. Responding units confirmed reports, according to NCCEMS Assistant PIO Oliver Kocher.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found a 21-year-old male patient in care of Wilmington Manor Fire Company EMTs. The patient suffered injuries to his back and extremities. The patient was treated on scene and transported to Christiana Hospital via Wilmington Manor Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.
