Audio: Four Shot On Delaware State University Campus Saturday

Just before 1:30, Saturday morning rescue crews responded to the area of the administration building on the Delaware State University Campus for reports of a shooting.

Initial reports indicate that four people were transported to an area hospital with gunshot wounds.

A message sent through the DSU alerts system states that the incident also involved a robbery.

We reached out to the Dover Police and to DSU this morning. The Dover Police Department said they responded to Delaware State University at 1:18 a.m. to assist with a shooting that had occurred on campus.

FSU has learned that at least one Dover officer rendered first aid to at least one of the victims prior to the rescue crew’s arrival. Dover Police Master Corporal Ryan Schmid said he does not know how many officers from Dover were involved, or the extent of their involvement at this time.

DSU has yet to respond.

This is a developing story.
