Just before 11:30 rescue crews responded to I-495 NB in the area of Route 13 for reports of a motor vehicle accident with injuries and entrapment.
First arriving crews reported that two patients were trapped and at least one person had succumbed at the scene. Crews later reported that two patients had succumbed at the scene.
Two juvenile patients were transported in very serious conditions.
I-495 NB was closed while Delaware State Police investigated.
