Man Found Dead In Car After Crash Saturday

On Saturday at approximately 11:00 a.m., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Locust Avenue for a single-vehicle collision.

Officials said investigators from the Traffic Services Unit assumed the investigation which revealed a 2009 Cadillac sedan, operated by a 55-year-old Wilmington man, was traveling on Foulk Road when he collided with a stop sign at the intersection of Naamans Road and Foulk Road causing minor damage.  The Cadillac continued southbound on Foulk Road where it then turned onto Locust Avenue and came to a stop. 

Witnesses reported the vehicle remained parked in front of a residence for several hours before the operator was found unresponsive.

Paramedics from the New Castle County Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and pronounced the 55-year-old deceased at the scene.
