Dover Police Investigating Wednesday Afternoon Bank Robbery

The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at the Shore United Bank on Wednesday just before 2:00 pm.

The investigation began when Dover Police received a report of a robbery at the bank located at 800 South Governors Avenue in Dover. Officers responded and contacted the victim at which time it was determined that a white male had entered the business and demanded money police said.

The victim believed the suspect was in possession of a weapon, so they complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled the bank on foot prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’0″, wearing dark clothing.
