Police Identify Man Killed In Crash Near State Line

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the tragic accident that took place on I-95 Southbound in the area of ​​Stewart Avenue on Friday evening, which left one man dead.

Pennsylvania State Police reported that 31-year-old Franklin Zang Jr. of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, died when his Chevrolet Suburban left the highway, struck a pole, and burst into flames. 

First responders and Pennsylvania State Police arrived at the scene to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Crews also reported a large brush fire that was spreading and requested additional firefighters to contain it. The southbound lanes of I-95 were closed while the fire was brought the fire under control and the crash scene was investigated. 

The exact cause of the crash and the resulting fire is still under investigation. Officials have not released any additional information or details of the incident at this time.
