Suspect Entered Dover Home While Residents Were Sleeping

Early Saturday morning, the Dover Police Department responded to an incident of burglary on Eiger Court. Master Corporal Ryan Schmid, Public Information Officer for the department, noted that officers were dispatched to respond to the call around 9:42 a.m. Saturday morning.

Upon further investigation, officers determined that the burglary had occurred sometime between 9:00 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday. The suspect gained access to the home through an unsecured garage door, after which they removed items from the residence and fled. The residents were sleeping upstairs when this incident occurred. 

The Dover Police Department is currently conducting an active investigation into the burglary.

Ongoing crimes of this nature are always troubling for the community and serve to raise awareness about the importance of personal and residential security.
