Woman Charged With Shooting 17-Year-Old On Wednesday

On Wednesday just before 12:20 a.m., Wilmington Police officers responded to the 700 block of W. 3rd Street for reports of a shooting incident.

When officers arrived on scene they found a 17-year-old female victim, who was then transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified 20-year-old Nevaeh Comeger as the suspect and took her into custody police said.

Comeger has been charged with Assault (First Degree), Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony as well as three counts of Reckless Endangering (First Degree). She was arraigned and booked in at Delores J. Baylor Correctional Institution, with cash-only bail set at $57,626.
