Search in SUNSET MEADOWS Development
At approximately 7:30 a.m. on Friday morning, police officers responded to the SUNSET MEADOWS development located at Wrangle Hill Road and Route 1 in Bear. The reason for the search has not been disclosed to the public, but it is believed that the officers were looking for a man who had reportedly fled from a car accident in the area. The intensity of the search led to the deployment of Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4, which circled the vicinity for nearly an hour. Eyewitnesses claim to have spotted the man hiding under a deck within the neighborhood, but it remains unclear whether he was apprehended by the authorities.
Traffic Delays on Wrangle Hill Road
The car accident and subsequent police activity caused significant disruptions to the eastbound lanes of Wrangle Hill Road. As emergency responders attended to the scene, the road had to be temporarily blocked, resulting in major traffic delays in the surrounding area.
