Police authorities are currently at the scene of a shooting incident in the area of 27th and North Market Streets in Wilmington.
Initial reports indicate that at around 11:27 Thursday morning, gunshots were fired, resulting in at least one person being injured. Emergency medical services responded to the scene, providing medical assistance to the victim before transferring them to an area hospital for further treatment.
Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area as part of their investigation. Police officers are gathering evidence at the scene.
