The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) has announced routine maintenance plans for several bridges in the state. The maintenance work will involve cleaning and painting the steel beams and cleaning and coating the concrete surfaces of the bridges. As a result, there will be lane closures from June 19, 2023, to July 21, 2023, subject to weather conditions.
The bridges that will be affected by lane closures are as follows:
- White Oak Road Bridge over SR 1
- SR 1 Bridges over North Little Creek Road
- SR 1 Bridges over South Little Creek Road
In addition to the lane closures, oversized loads will be restricted at the White Oak Road Overpass on SR 1 in both northbound and southbound directions.
During the maintenance period, motorists should exercise caution and expect minor delays in the affected areas.
