Photos: Suspect Arrested In Two Bank Robberies, Second Suspect Sought In Third

Authorities in New Castle City are actively investigating a recent bank robbery that occurred on June 9th, 2023. The incident took place at the WSFS Bank located in Airport Plaza, where a suspect, claiming to possess a weapon, handed a threatening note to a teller before quickly fleeing the scene.

On June 14th, local law enforcement responded to a separate robbery and noticed similarities between this incident and the WSFS Bank robbery. The cooperation of witnesses at the scene proved invaluable in guiding officers to the location of the suspect, who was subsequently apprehended without incident.

While the recent arrest is believed to be linked to the bank robbery at Citizens Bank on Kirkwood Highway in the Marshallton area, official details regarding the incident have not been released by the authorities.

New Castle City Police say that the suspect in the June 9, 2023 robbery is identified the suspect as Brandon Mosely, a 23-year-old resident of Wilmington.

Following the identification, Brandon Mosely was arraigned on charges of first-degree robbery. He has since been transferred to the custody of the Department of Corrections, where he will remain held in lieu of bail.

Detectives are also investigating a second bank robbery that occurred at the Airport Plaza WSFS bank that occurred on Tuesday. Police said that on 6/13/23 just before noon, police were dispatched to a second robbery at the WSFS Bank in Airport Plaza. The suspect demanded money from a teller and fled the area immediately. Police from New Castle County PD and Delaware State Police assisted with the search for the suspect. No one was injured during the incident.

Photos of the second suspect released by police suggest that Mosely was not connected to the second robbery of the WSFS bank.
