New Castle House Fire Reportedly Claims A Life Saturday

Just before 1:30 Saturday afternoon, firefighters from across northern New Castle County rushed to a home in the unit block of Angola Road in New Castle, Delaware, following reports of a house fire.

As first-arriving crews reported smoke billowing from the residence. They immediately initiated an attack on the blaze, aiming to contain the fire and rescue any potential occupants.

As firefighters battled the flames, they simultaneously conducted a search of the home. Their efforts led them to a bedroom where they found a victim deceased, as per initial reports from the scene. The identity and further details about the victim have not yet been released.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office investigators have been examining the remnants of the house fire, searching for any clues that might shed light on the cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. Although it is still early in their investigation, authorities are expected to release additional details either later today or sometime tomorrow.
