Reports: Gunman Opens Fire On Crowd, At Least 4 Shot

On Saturday night, just before 11:20, the Wilmington Police Department responded to A Street in the area of Chaple Street.

Officers were responding to reports of possible automatic gunfire in the area. Initial reports suggested that more than thirty rounds were discharged during this incident into a crowd.

Reports of at least four individuals either walked in or were transported to the hospital.

Arriving officers pursued an individual who fled the scene on foot and apprehended him a few blocks away. Police also found a vehicle that was struck by gunfire at the scene.
