The Dover Police Department has launched an investigation into a shooting incident that caused damage to two homes on Forrest Avenue. The incident took place in the 1300 block of Forrest Avenue.
Officers from the Dover Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of Forrest Avenue following a complaint of criminal mischief. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement personnel discovered that the house had been struck by gunfire.
While the officers were on scene another resident told them that their home and property had also been struck by gunfire.
Preliminary information gathered by detectives indicates that the incident occurred between the overnight hours of Monday and the early hours of Tuesday morning.
No injuries were reported as a result of the shootings despite both homes being occupied when the incident occurred.
